-Recruitment of NCA Communication for change 2013-2014

Norwegian Church Aid- Kenya is in the process of recruiting one participant for the Communication for Change (CFC) international Youth
Exchange program. This is an annual International youth volunteer exchange program between the two organizations and the Norwegian Church Aid Global office.
The exchange runs for one year part of which is spent outside the country and seeks to identify and develop young people with the potential of becoming leaders with national and global impact.
Through participation in the program, the selected young people will: Gain a Deeper
understanding of global issues; new appreciation and understanding of cultural differences, values and goals; acquire new intercultural experiences; obtain new knowledge of other partner organizations while building networks; develop skills in information work, communication, campaign work and group dynamics/team building.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. Must be aged between 18-24 years
2. Should be fairly involved in youth initiatives in Kenya and engaged in youth and community work with a keen interest in youth development
3. Fair knowledge of and keen interest in local and global development issues
4. Must be willing to learn and able to demonstrate what he or she will do with the knowledge acquired and experience gained during the CFC exchange program
5. Should be culturally sensitive and willing to travel, live and relate with young people from other parts of Kenya and the world
6. Must have a valid Kenyan Passport
7. Willing to stay out of the country for about six months
8. Willingness to commit at least one year in the program
9. Should be of good moral standing
